What can I do when I volunteer
at St. Paul's House?
Hundreds of people volunteer each
year. Some for only a few hours others have ministered at the
mission faithfully for years. You can help in one of the following
ways.
You can serve the homeless at
our 8 AM soup kitchen.
Qualified volunteers can tutor
students for their General Education Diploma.
Church Outreach groups can
speak and sing at our 7:30 AM worship service.
Qualified volunteers can tutor
a student in computer skills.
Our Tuesday pantry needs
packers and distributors of pantry bags.
Qualified volunteers can help
assist in our youth program.
How can I become a volunteer at
St. Paul's House?
We want your volunteer experience
with St. Paul's House to be positive and rewarding, and we are committed
to providing exceptional client service. For these reasons, we
require all volunteers to meet with one of our staff for an interview to
determine how they may best serve in the mission. Please use the
contact us page to arrange an appointment.
What are your physical needs at
the Mission?
We collect many items which are
most often asked for by the homeless.
Care Kits (bags of individual
personal items such as soap, shampoo, tooth brush and paste, shaving
cream and razors, deadorant, and combs).
Socks, Coats in good condition,
underclothes, hats and gloves.
Canned foods for our pantry
service.
How can I make a financial
donation?
St. Paul's House is a private
inner-city mission funded solely by the free will offerings of churches
and individuals who believe in what we do. A donation may be sent
to the address below and is tax-deductible. Regardless of your
wealth you are given the ability to pray; and your covering of prayer is
what we covet the most.
